His story

Obituary

Michael Roy Brand peacefully passed away at home on October 24, 2026. In the final weeks of his life, he was surrounded by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, dear friends, and even some of his favorite treats. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that his final days were filled with love and meaningful moments with those closest to him. He was blessed to feel the overwhelming love and support of so many who had the opportunity to spend time with him and say goodbye.

Those who knew Mike knew a man of extraordinary warmth, charisma, humor, generosity, and unwavering integrity. He had a remarkable gift for connecting with people of all ages and walks of life, making each person feel valued, welcomed, and appreciated. Through his kindness and genuine interest in others, he brought warmth and joy to those around him. Whether sharing a laugh, telling a story, or offering support, Mike touched the lives of countless people and left them with lasting memories of his friendship and generosity.

For Mike and Sheila, family was their greatest joy and the center of their lives. Mike often said that family was the most important thing, and he lived that belief through his unwavering dedication to those he loved. Whether attending games, recitals, graduations, birthdays, or other milestones, he made it a priority to show up, even when it meant traveling out of state. Together, Mike and Sheila created countless opportunities for family gatherings, adventures, and shared experiences that brought generations together and strengthened the bonds between them. Above all, they went to extraordinary lengths to ensure that every member of their family knew they were deeply loved, valued, and supported.

Service to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was an important part of Mike's life. He spent many years teaching youth in Sunday School and seminary, where his remarkable gift for storytelling brought the scriptures to life in ways that were engaging, memorable, and relevant to their lives. His service extended well beyond the classroom, as he brought people together through meaningful activities, shared experiences, and, of course, plenty of good food. For Mike, serving was always about the people and the opportunity to build relationships and strengthen others.

Throughout his real estate career, Mike's intelligence, determination, and character were the foundation of his remarkable success. Over the course of a distinguished 50-year career, he became a trusted and respected visionary in the industry, known as much for his integrity and relationships as for his professional accomplishments. His ability to recognize opportunities, build lasting partnerships, and earn the confidence of those around him set him apart. Despite his success, Mike remained generous with his time and knowledge, readily mentoring those entering the industry and helping others find their own path to success.

As we grieve this tremendous loss and celebrate Mike's remarkable life, we ask that you keep Sheila, our entire family, and all who loved him in your thoughts and prayers. We warmly invite family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched to join us in honoring his memory.
